Dietary

An increase intake of zinc has been shown to clear up the symptoms of prostatits effectively. Zinc is found in oyster, herrings, clams, wheat bran, whole oatmeal, and pumpkin and sunflower seeds. To ensure sufficient intake, a zinc orate supplement of 100 mg can also be taken every other day.

Reducing cholesterol levels also helps to relieve symptoms of prostatitis, prevent recurrent attacks: substitute red meat for chicken and fish, and avoid high fat dairy products.

Pollen, rich in essential fatty acids and protein, is also a useful treatment. Take 4 cernilton pollen tablets daily.

Sufferers are often deficient in essential fatty acids: supplement your diet with 4 capsules of MaxEPA fish oil daily and 4 x 500 mg capsules of evening primrose oil.
